Guilford County school bus involved in crash
A Guilford County school bus was involved in a crash on Wednesday morning. The High Point Police Department has confirmed they have officers at the scene of a crash involving a bus affiliated with Guilford County Schools.
No charges filed after deadly crash involving Guilford County Sheriff's Office employee
Investigators said the employee was driving a Ford SUV registered to the sheriff's office on Highway 29, when the victim, identified as James Owens, walked in front of the vehicle.
Guilford County Schools to remain closed on Tuesday
"Due to observed icy conditions in some parts of the county and continued freezing temperatures, GCS will be closed for students on Tuesday, Jan. 7," the district said in posts on its website and social media. "All employees will report under Emergency Closing Plan A, using caution on the roadways."
