A cold front moves into southeast Texas late Friday night and into Saturday early morning. This is a major storm system for the Ohio and Tennessee Valley, but we are on the tail end of the front, therefore, we won’t see much in the way of rain or severe weather. Houston has a 20-30% chance of rain Saturday morning.

Temperatures will be "getting toasty by the end of the work week before a cold front drops temperatures over the weekend," according to NWS Houston. These warm temperatures may be the last bearable days ahead before the striking hot summer months. "These toasty late week temps will look mighty mild by summer," NWS Houston wrote on X.

Record heat possible Thursday with forecast highs in the upper-80s. Humidity does look lower with a southwest breeze, so sunshine will warm us quickly and we could see a repeat on Friday with highs in the mid 80s with a bit more humidity.
