STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- There are just two months left before the implementation of new federal Real ID air travel requirements, meaning those looking to board a plane later this year have little time left to transition to the new form of identification.

Originally, the law mandated the switch to REAL IDs by 2008, but that date has been pushed back year after year. Now the deadline is only a few weeks away.
