A Twin Cities woman is facing a long road to recovery after she was struck by a driver, who fled the scene, in northeast Minneapolis early New Year's Day. Michaela Howk suffered critical injuries, including broken and shattered bones and a brain bleed, when she was hit around 2 a.m. Wednesday near University and Fourth avenues.
