In a re-do of the 2020 NBA draft, the Philadelphia 76ers take Tre Jones with Tyrese Maxey already gone and off the board.

The 29-year-old signed a one-year, prove-it deal in Philly. He will now be a sought-after free agent following a breakout performance.

If the Sixers are thinking of trading the No. 3 overall pick, the player-option deadline could complicate those plans.

“Personally if I’m Philadelphia, I’d be very very open to trading down. I’ve heard the Pelicans at No. 7 like Ace Bailey. Joe Dumars there sounds like he really likes Ace Bailey, could try to trade up to No. 3 to Philly or No. 4 with Charlotte,” said O’Connor around the 5:37 mark of the show.

It is not particularly bold to lead with the team owning more picks than any other in the draft, but even after dropping to the No. 8 pick after an unfavorable lottery drawing, the Nets have a more valuable set of picks in 2025 than any team outside of Dallas and San Antonio.
