Simple Minds, still alive and kicking, announce summertime tour stop
The tour falls on the 40th anniversary of the band's "Once Upon a Time" album. That same year, "The Breakfast Club" smash "Don't You (Forget About Me)" hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart, where it spent one week at the top, bookended by Madonna's "Crazy for You" and Wham's "Everything She Wants."

Simple Minds Toronto date part of largest North American tour in 4 decades
Scottish New Wave vets Simple Minds play Budweiser Stage on June 18 with tickets on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at livenation.com. Their Alive And Kicking Tour, their largest across North America in four decades, sees Soft Cell and Modern English opening.
