Several inches of light, fluffy snow are blanketing Colorado. Denver saw impressive totals just ahead of Saturday morning travel.

Another weekend, another storm with this latest one zeroing in on the northern I-25 corridor, foothills and mountains, which could see a foot of snow.

Temperatures will climb no higher than 20 in Denver today, with light snow tapering off by 11 p.m. Highs of 27 and 44 are expected Sunday and Monday as the sky clears. About 2 inches of snow had accumulated by Saturday morning in Denver, and some of the heaviest overnight snowfall was reported in Allenspark, which saw 5.1 inches.

The warmest weather of the week arrives in Colorado on Friday, but it won't be here long. High temperatures will climb into the mid-40s across the Denver metro under a mix of sun and clouds.

The arctic blast brought cold temperatures across Colorado, leaving negative temperatures, freezing wind chill and over a foot of snow in some areas across the state.

Light snow will fall for much of the day along the southern Front Range corridor with accumulations in the Trace to 2 inch range. Meanwhile low cloud cover will keep temperatures remain in the 20s

Colorado Springs residents woke up Saturday to falling snow following a cold front that moved into the region on Friday night.

With inches of snow on the ground across the state, more is expected to pile up this weekend with a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day on Saturday.

A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Saturday because of the cold and snow. Moderate snow this morning will gradually weaken through the day, eventually tapering off this evening into tonight for the Front Range.
