A plane crashed into a residential neighborhood near the Roosevelt Mall Friday evening causing an explosion, setting many homes ablaze and sending debris flying.

A small plane that crashed Friday evening in a residential area of northeast Philadelphia was apparently planning to make a stop in.

Shriners Children's said the child on board had received care and was being taken back to her home country of Mexico, along with her mother, when the crash happened.
