Here's where Ohio State football ranks in the preseason poll along with where the Buckeyes' 2025 opponents sit.

The coaches have weighed in on "who should start where" as the college football season opens, with Texas, Ohio State, Penn State, Georgia and Notre Dame filling the top five spots in the coaches' preseason top 25 poll released Monday.

This is the first time that Texas has landed the No. 1 ranking in the preseason Coaches Poll. The Longhorns and Buckeyes will meet in an Aug. 30 matchup at Ohio Stadium. Texas has not won a national title since 2005.
