Unai Emery praised the performances of Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio after the pair made their Aston Villa debuts off the bench against Tottenham. A week on from joining the club on loan from Manchester United, Rashford was named among the subs on Sunday night alongside Asensio, another loan signing from Paris Saint-Germain.

Unai Emery is hopeful Ezri Konsa hasn't suffered a big injury in Aston Villa's 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur. Konsa pulled up with a muscle injury in the first half of Villa’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Spurs. After beating the ground in frustration before receiving treatment on the pitch, Konsa walked off.

Aston Villa and Chelsea have been locked in transfer talks in recent days, with at least one deal set to be done between the clubs as Unai Emery attempts to close in on his dream target.
