President Donald Trump once again raised the possibility of withholding federal disaster aid for Southern California’s wildfires unless certain conditions are met.

After President Trump criticizes California Gov. Newsom over the Los Angeles area wildfires during his inauguration address, the Democratic governor says he'll look for "common ground" with the new administration.

Republicans say they may make California bend to their policy demands before approving wildfire aid. That would set a terrible precedent.
