EU chief Ursula von der Leyen said the 27-nation bloc will stick to the landmark Paris climate accord, despite President Trump's decision to withdraw from the agreement.

The president on Monday announced his intention to withdraw the country, for the second time, from the global emissions reduction pact.

The Paris agreement is a mostly voluntary climate pact with the goal of reducing global warming. The U.S. withdrawal, while expected, triggered heavy reactions.
