Orlando, Fla. – Wyndham Clark handled a stressful day at Bay Hill by eliminating as much trouble as possible. Two late birdies as the wind finally waned carried him to a 5-under 67 and a two-shot lead Thursday in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Wyndham Clark shot a 5-under 67 for a two-shot lead in the Arnold Palmer Invitational on a cold and windy Thursday in which only 14 players broke par.

Shane Lowry fired a brilliant 69 and Rory McIlroy a battling 70 to take advantage of easier afternoon conditions and keep leader Wyndham Clark in their sights in the Arnold Palmer Invitational at a demanding Bay Hill.

After the wind calmed, Clark carded two late birdies to post a 5-under 67 and sit atop the leaderboard after the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
