Cale Makar returned to Canada’s lineup at the 4 Nations Face-Off for a must-win game against Finland on Monday afternoon after sitting out Saturday’s loss to the U.S. with what the team called an illness.

Team Canada will be looking for revenge on Thursday in the 4 Nations Face-Off championship game against Team USA. The Americans beat them 3-1 last weekend, but the Canadians didn’t have top defenceman Cale Makar in the lineup.

After missing their matchup with the United States, Team Canada will have Cale Makar back in the lineup against Team Sweden.

Cale Makar returned to the lineup for Canada in a 5-3 win against Finland at the 4 Nations Face-Off at TD Garden on Monday. The defenseman had four shots on goal and four blocked shots while playing a Canada-best 23:57.
