Last week in the NBA featured some amazing Christmas Day games, but that wasn’t the only time players stepped up their games. We had two players average over 60 fantasy points last week – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama. This marks Wembanyama’s second straight week averaging over 60 FP/G, but SGA gets the top spot.

Welcome back to another installment of HoopsHype’s power rankings! Last time, we performed a quick pulse check on a star for each team. This week, we’ll make New Year’s resolutions for each squad.

Even though the Bucks have won two out of their last three games, Bleacher Report dropped them in their most recent power rankings. They moved from eighth to seventh in the power rankings. That is a bit surprising considering they haven't hit a big losing streak.

Last week featured the Bucks winning the NBA Cup, but more amazing action soon followed. This week’s edition of the Fantasy Basketball Power Rankings is led by massive performances from Victor Wembanyama and Jayson Tatum, who both averaged over 60 fantasy points in their two games.

The NBA season is about a third of the way over and by now, we have started to see who teams are. While there are always some surprises along the way, teams typically start to form their identities toward the end of the calendar year.

With only a few days left until 2024, all NBA teams will begin 2025 with goals and New Year’s resolutions. Christmas Day was a huge success as all the games were decided by 10 points or less and saw the stars shine on the biggest stage.
