A winter storm that has been drifting across the country has already dropped more than 7 inches of snow on parts of New Jersey, and the storm still has as much as 12 hours to go. Preliminary reports from the National Weather Service show heavy accumulations in Jersey Shore towns as of Monday morning.

A winter storm warning is in effect for parts of southern New Jersey as snow falls in the area on Monday. The warning was issued for Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland and Salem counties through 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

New Jersey may see its first snowfall of 2025 this week and early next week. South Jersey may get snow on Friday, and snow may accumulate throughout the state on Monday, weather reports say. The northern parts of New Jersey are expected to be spared from the snow on Friday.
