President Donald Trump has fired Dr. Erika McEntarfer, the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, whom he accused of manipulating the monthly jobs reports for “political purposes.”

Historic preservation experts are raising concerns over the feasibility of President Trump’s plans to complete large-scale renovations to add a new $200 million ballroom to the White House by the end of his term.
