Undocumented people with criminal records are the main target for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to Miguel Vergara, San Antonio field office director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations.

A total of 61 San Antonio officers will travel to Washington to help provide security for Donald Trump inauguration on Jan. 20.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus held an impromptu press conference near the incident around 10:30 p.m. and explained to local media about what transpired. It was initially reported that only four police officers were shot during the incident.
