Kafka, who played quarterback at St. Rita and Northwestern, has interviewed for eight head-coaching positions in the last three hiring cycles.

The New Orleans Saints are hosting New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka for a second interview ... New Orleans after being a finalist for Seattle's opening last winter.

Kafka is a finalist for the Saints head coaching job, having met with them in New Orleans for an in-person second interview. The Saints, after speaking with Kafka, flew to Philadelphia to meet with Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and it appears Moore could be the favorite.

If he doesn’t land the Saints job, there is a “strong sentiment” that the New York Giants will return play-calling duties to Mike Kafka.
