Gaza's Health Ministry says an Israeli strike killed five Palestinian journalists outside a hospital overnight.

The Israeli military named the five killed as Ibrahim Jamal Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Ali; Faisal Abdallah Muhammad Abu Qamsan; Mohammed Ayad Khamis al-Ladaa; Ayman Nihad Abd Alrahman Jadi; and Fadi Ihab Muhammad Ramadan Hassouna.

The strike hit a car outside the Al-Awda Hospital. The five victims worked for Al-Quds Today, a TV channel affiliated with Islamic Jihad.

Quds News Network reported that its journalists were killed in an airstrike while they were in a van parked outside of a hospital in Gaza.

Although media workers are protected by international humanitarian law, journalists in Gaza face especially high risks as they cover the war.
