Police have arrested the man suspected of shooting the driver of a vehicle that rammed into a crowd outside a Los Angeles nightclub last month.

LOS ANGELES — A 28-year-old man wanted for shooting a driver accused of plowing into a crowd of pedestrians in East Hollywood was arrested Sunday in Redondo Beach. ABC7 reported Efrain Villalobos of Lawndale was arrested by Redondo Beach police and turned over to Los Angeles Police Department detectives about 1:15 p.m. Sunday.

Police announced the arrest on Sunday evening, two weeks after they began searching for the alleged gunman who shot and wounded a man who drove into a crowd outside of an East Hollywood club.

The search for the suspect continued in the mountains just west of Anaconda, where he is accused of fatally shooting four people, officials said.

Police say the suspect was "a regular" at the bar where he opened fire, and that a bartender and three patrons were among the victims.
