The board of trustees voted Tuesday night to limit faculty senate seats to 25 to 35 members as it seeks to comply with new Texas law.

Herrera, who came within 400 votes of ousting Gonzales in a 2024 runoff, is once again positioning himself to the right of the incumbent.

Projects include replacing student chrome books and iPads, buying new buses and replacing chillers for school HVAC systems.
