Authorities allege that he paid an employee who allowed him to leave with unpaid items or scanned items at a much lower cost.

An Hamden man is facing charges related to alleged organized retail theft from the Home Depot on Frontage Road in East Haven.

"Surveillance footage and transaction records revealed that he was knowingly undercharged or allowed to leave with unscanned items," police said.

Investigators are looking into possible connections to similar incidents that have happened at other Home Depot locations around Connecticut.
