California Wildfire Live Updates: Eaton Fire Is 45% Contained As Winds Slow In Los Angeles
Wednesday, 8:41 a.m. PST Cal Fire provided an update on the fires in Los Angeles, reporting 19% containment for the Palisades Fire, 45% containment for the Eaton Fire, 50% containment for the Auto Fire (later upgraded to 85% containment) and 97% containment for the Hurst Fire.

Eaton Fire initially started 6:18 p.m. Jan. 7 in Los Angeles County. Since its discovery eight days ago, it has burned 14,117 acres. A fire crew of 3,404 has been working on site and, as of Wednesday evening, they managed to contain 45% of the fire. However, investigations into the cause are ongoing.
