The Allegheny County Health Department announced that additional mosquito samples have tested positive for West Nile Virus, prompting plans to spray six neighborhoods on Monday.

The first human case of West Nile Virus in Michigan this year has been detected in a Livingston County resident, the state announced. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) announced the detection in a news release on Aug. 8. No information was provided on the individual who contracted the virus.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- For the second time this season, the Indiana Department of Health identified a pool of mosquitoes infected with the West Nile virus. The positive mosquito sample was collected the week of July 20 by Floyd County Health Department employee during routine county-wide mosquito sampling, according to a news release.
