Two brush fires burning along I-15 in northern San Diego County have prompted evacuation orders for some as they burn at high rates of speed due to strong winds in the area.

The fires come as San Diego County mountains and valleys, along with other parts of Southern California, remain under a red flag warning.

Evacuation orders have been issued for a second vegetation fire in Bonsall area of San Diego County. The Lilac Fire has grown to 30 acres with a slow rate of spread and is 0% contained. The fire was reported around 1:20 a.m. near Old Highway 395 and Lilac Road, according to the San Diego County Fire Department.
