Hundreds of Christmas trees on display for Brookfield Zoo’s Holiday Magic winter wonderland have a new purpose. Some are now being used as animal enrichment for bears, bison, and lions.

The Puerto Rican crested toad may be new to the general public, but the Fort Worth Zoo began efforts to preserve this amphibian in the 1980s.
