Commencement is Sunday, May 18, in the Alamodome. Ceremony times will be announced at a later date. The Doctoral Conferral Ceremony is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, in the Arts Building Recital Hall (ARTS 2.03.02B).

Jan 16, 2025 · UTSA Spring 2025 Commencement ceremonies will take place on Sunday, May 18, at the Alamodome. A morning and afternoon ceremony will be held to honor all graduates, each lasting approximately three hours.

UTSA hosts two commencement ceremonies a year – one in the fall (December) and one in the spring (May). Please note there is no ceremony offered in the summer. Summer graduates who wish to participate in commencement can choose to participate in the December commencement or May commencement.

The Graduation Help Desk (GHD) is a centralized virtual support center designed to help students resolve roadblocks to graduation. The GHD builds on the efforts of other campus offices to provide additional support for students experiencing unique challenges.

Students with one major, one minor and one concentration are still able to apply for graduation through their myUTSA Account. The Application for Graduation for Undergraduate, Master’s and Doctoral students must be submitted by the semester deadlines listed below.

UTSA expects students to graduate in a timely fashion and strongly encourages its undergraduates to set their goals to complete their baccalaureate degrees in four years, or if that is not feasible, in no more than six years.

All programs of study include a focus on developing competencies for working effectively in multicultural and cross-national contexts.

Information regarding Graduation and Commencement is available on the One Stop Enrollment website. It is the student’s responsibility to officially apply for their degree by submitting an Application for Graduation online through myUTSA. Students must have earned at least 85 semester credit hours to apply online for graduation.
